The UDG is an Internet portal for information on sustainable development and poverty reduction – offering a common space for dialogue and exchange of experience, knowledge, ideas, tools, information, data and other resources. Role played: co-ordinator, guiding the stakeholders workshop to converge on agreed issues; preparation of the grant proposal; overall management of the planning process at policy level. Employment Record
Has been employed by Makerere University since March 1975, conducting research, instruction, and management, and rising through the academic levels to the current level of Associate Professor (Telecommunications). Management levels in the university have included Head, Department of Electrical Engineering; Associate Dean, Faculty of Technology; and now Ag. Director, Directorate for ICT Support. The Faculty has a consulting arm, Technology Consults Ltd (see http://www.teco.co.ug/ ) through which academic staff practice, and for which I was a part-time Manager for 7 years during its formative stages, seeing its income grow from shs 2million to more than shs 500million at the time of stepping down.
